MAKATI CITY – The Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), through its implementing arm, the Philippine Domestic Construction Board (PDCB), forged new partnership with construction organizations and associations through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on July 18, 2023. The MOA renews the parties’ commitment in promoting fair and equitable contract conditions, specifically the CIAP Document 102, as the uniform general conditions of contract for private construction and make it the norm in the construction industry. The launch and commitment pledge was supported by leaders and representatives from the Philippine Constructors Association, Inc. (PCA); Philippine Institute of Construction Arbitrators and Mediators, Inc. (PICAM); Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE); United Architects of the Philippines (UAP); Philippine Institute of Certified Quantity Surveyors (PICQS) Inc.; Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME); Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE); Council of Engineering Consultants in the Philippines (CECOPHIL); Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines, Inc. (OSHDP); Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors Inc. (ACEL); and Society of Philippine Electrotechnical Constructors and Suppliers (SPECS) Inc.
