The Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) successfully completed its first-ever public offering of the Foremanship Training and Certification Program (FTCP) on March 25, 2023. 25 construction foremen and experienced construction workers with potential advancement to foremanship underwent the training in Makati City.
Previously only offered to companies, the FTCP is now available to the public. This allows individuals and small and medium construction groups to avail of the program which aims to develop competent construction foremen. Through the program, they are taught to supervise work, create effective work teams, measure work productivity, apply problem-solving skills, implement safety and environmental programs, and ensure the quality of construction projects, among other things.
Engr. Rodolfo Menguita, organizational consultant and CMDF Board Member, lead the 4-Day Training while CMDF’s internal assessors Engr. Anthony Von Ryan O. Panelo, Engr. Ejay Craig D. De Leon and Arch. Nilo Eligio M. Calingasan, Jr. conducted the assessment.
