The CMDF implements Productivity Training Development Program to enhance the competencies and capabilities of the manpower resources of the Construction Industry, with the end-in-view of making the industry globally competitive.
CMDF training courses, particularly Technology/Supervisory Development Courses as well as Productivity & Skills’ Upgrading Courses, are offered at CMDF’s Training Centers (CMDF-TC) in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, Cebu City or Davao City. Other training courses, such as Construction Management Courses and Safety Training Courses, are conducted with our strategic partners. CMDF training courses may also be offered as in-house training for companies; while skills’ upgrading and trade testing are conducted in communities (training-cum-production, i.e.,) workers may be trained in community projects sites for proper job execution.
By forging strategic partnerships with private and public sector organizations such as: the Philippine Constructor Association (PCA) , Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), PAMAV Tech, PICE Makati Chapter, PCA Marivalley Marikina, AiTech, appropriate construction management and supervisory development course curricula were developed. CMDF ensures that each course curriculum is benchmarked with internationally accepted standards and appropriate for the development of the human resources of the Construction Industry.
The CMC is designed to integrate strategic training interventions to sustain the management capabilities of construction project managers & superintendents. More specifically, the CMC is a series of short-courses in the different knowledge areas of construction project management. It adheres to the conceptual framework based both on local and internationally accepted standards. Majority of it was designed with reference to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) of the US.
CMDF maintains a pool of resource speakers/lecturers who are industry practitioners. Their vast knowledge & expertise in the field of Construction Project Management will surely broaden one’s perspective and insights about the subject matter.

Since mass gatherings, including face-to-face classes, are still prohibited and highly discouraged, CMDF redesigned its usual offerings from classroom-type, face-to-face seminars into webinars using the Zoom platform. Assessment and certification activities for managerial and supervisory programs are also being administered virtually.
Considering the limitations of online classes in the performance of hands-on activities, i.e., welding exercises, CMDF has yet to convert its skills upgrading courses into virtual formats.
Currently, CMDF only offers its courses in a synchronous format-courses. It is transmitted online at a defined date and time. But the Agency is in the works to provide training asynchronously. CMDF Trainings can soon be readily available online, which can be accessed by users anytime, anywhere.
Regular training and certification programs of CMDF are not free of charge but are offered at subsidized rates. You may reach us through cmdf@construction.gov.ph to discuss custom training proposals for your organization.
On some occasions, CMDF, together with our industry partners, does offer free seminars and training. Announcements are usually posted on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DTI.CIAP.CMDF
For practicality and manageability, the prescribed number of participants is 12 (minimum) to 25 (maximum). The maximum number was decided in consideration of maintaining optimal speaker-participants interaction; and for effective proctoring.
Currently, CMDF certifications are recognized at the national level. In a bid to enhance the global competitiveness of our workforce, CMDF is working to provide access to Filipinos to a globally consistent yet locally responsive personnel certification system by employing reliable competency assessment methodologies based on the principles and requirements of ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Standard. Upon obtaining the 17024 accreditation, certifications awarded by CMDF can help facilitate the cross-border practice of the profession.
