The Philippine Domestic Construction Board (PDCB) congratulates the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region IV-A for the successful completion of its 3-day Constructorsβ Performance Evaluation System (CPES) Accreditation Training held on 23 to 25 April 2025 at the NIA IV-A Regional Training Center, Pila, Rizal.
A total of 33 engineers, including four refresher trainees, participated in the training designed to strengthen their competencies in evaluating government infrastructure projects through CPES.
The event was graced by NIA Region IV-A Regional Manager, Engr. Roberto J. Dela Cruz, who emphasized the responsibility and integrity required of evaluators.Β He said: “many aspire to become evaluators, but remember, evaluation is a two-way street; you will evaluate, and at the same time, be evaluated.”
Throughout the training, participants engaged in comprehensive lectures, simulated CPES evaluations, and case study analyses, all designed to equip them with the technical skills necessary for effective project evaluation. The CPES system, as promoted by the PDCB, is critical to ensuring that government infrastructure projects are awarded to qualified and performing constructors, thus upholding the principles of transparency, quality, and accountability.
With the successful conduct of this training, NIA Region IV-A continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving project implementation standards through the deployment of competent CPES evaluators.
The PDCB commends NIA Region IV-A, its officials, participants, and facilitators for their dedication to promoting excellence and integrity in infrastructure development and looks forward to the positive impact of the newly accredited evaluators on the sector.
