𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 – The Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting & Gender Mainstreaming Workshop on April 23-25, 2025 in Baguio City.

The three-day workshop focused on the discussion of topics covering Gender Mainstreaming, Introduction of Gender Analysis, Gender Analysis tools, as well as the crafting of the Annual GAD Plan and Budget, facilitated by Ms. Frances Noelle G. Escalera, Supervising Professional Regulations Officer of PRC-CAR, Baguio City, from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) National GAD Resource Pool.

The primary objective of the activity was to equip and capacitate the CIAP-GFPS Members and its Secretariat with the necessary skills, competencies, and knowledge in formulating and institutionalizing gender-responsive projects, activities, and programs (PAPs) for the foreseeable future.

This initiative underscores CIAP’s sustained commitment to advancing gender equality and mainstreaming GAD within the construction industry—paving the way toward a more inclusive and equitable sector, free from gender-based barriers.
